US-China Trade Forum

An Initiative for Business Development

In recent years, China has had one of the fastest growing economies in the world.  Certain regions in China, especially those along the coast, are booming and may people are becoming more prosperous.  For example, Guangdong Province, China's most open region with a population of over 70 million, benefit greatly from neighboring Hong Kong's free wheeling capitalist economy, and the movement of Hong Kong's manufacturing sector into the province has created probably the most dynamic economy in the world.  The same can be said for the Heilongjiang Province and of course Beijing and Shanghai.

US Pan Asian Chamber initiated our first Business Development Mission to China in November, 2005.  In February, 2008,we organized our 3rd Trade Mission to China holding Business to Business match-making and Trade Forums in Beijing, Shanghai and Dalian.  From the number of Chinese owned companies attending the Forum, we have come to the conclusion that there are still ample opportunities for US companies to do business in China.  The Chinese has high regard for American products and technology and want to see more American companies in the market.  Potential for US exports to China has been enhanced greatly by recent bilateral agreements since China's accession to the WTO.

Arlington, Texas is also a fast growing economy and has many business advantages over its neighboring cities and counties  USPAACC-SW in partnership with Arlington Chamber and the City of Arlington, will work together to attract international business to Arlington through join-venture activities, trade missions led by high level government and business leaders and presenting International Trade Forums.

The China Trade Forum aims to help develop a strategic global enterprise for Arlington based companies that increasingly face challenges in rising costs and the need to be more competitive.  We will look into doing business with this fastest growing emerging market and will explore export opportunities to the region that has shown incredible demand for commodities in recent years from construction materials to consumer products and professional services.
